Good Morning Lovelies! |
The Man From MadrasGrowing up there were many catch phrases...'don't blame your tools'; 'come hell or high water'; 'mind your manners' & 'do as I say not as I do'. One of my Nana's closest friends Grandma Bird, who also had a cottage up the road from ours, taught me the limerick, The Man From Madras. I can tell you that Greater Victoria Nursery School was not keen on me reciting it to the class. Apparently this fell under the 'do as I say, not as I do' rule... |

TiffanyMy Nana passed away September 2002 at the age of 100. Shortly after, my mom & I went to New York & perused every inch of every floor at Tiffany's. I came across this vase & it personifies my Nana perfectly. This vase has inspired the new look at the shop & I do hope you will visit soon. Nana always said 'if you have enough money for two loaves of bread, buy one & buy yourself some flowers'. |
